MUSIC CONCERT AND FESTIVAL

CELEBRATE SACRIFICETM is an annual day of activities and fun honoring and celebrating the heroes dedicate and put their lives on the line every day to protect and serve all of us. The weekends around 9/11 have been selected so we can honor this date when so many were called to give everything.

The area community festival honors persons from police department, the fire department, military and guard, EMT/trauma/medical center professionals and clergy. By honoring our community's heroes we have an opportunity to build our community though outreach and fellowship.

First started in 2004 after the 9/11 tragedy in Lee's Summit, MO outside Kansas City, the event has grown from a few hundred attendees to thousands. In 2006, EarthTraces Foundation (www.EarthTraces.com), a 501(C)3 public foundation, is growing this event to additional communities. Contact us today if you would like to do this wonderful program in your area!

CELEBRATE SACRIFICE ATTENDANCE BY AREA POLICE, FIRE, MILITARY AND EMT PERSONNEL OR DEPARTMENTS.

Police, Fire, active Military and EMT personnel are welcomed at all CS events! Those who attend in uniform (so the public may recognize them) may receive 4 wristbands at the entrance ticket booth so they and their immediate family may attend the rides and concert FREE.

All regional Police, Fire, Military and EMT Departments are invited to display equipment and meet the public. There is no charge for this and your mileage costs may be reimbursable by contacting the CS committee.

WHO RUNS CELEBRATE SACRIFICE?

Local Celebrate Sacrifice events are independent festivals operated by local committees. This keeps the Celebration in touch with the community and its unique heritage. The name Celebrate Sacrifice is a trademark of EarthTraces Foundation which grants free use of the name and provides free organizational assistance to communities desiring an event. The only conditions placed on use of the name is that admission to the grounds, displays and food areas be free although admission to rides and concert areas may be charged to recover event costs.

DOES IT COST TO ATTEND CELEBRATE SACRIFICE?

Admission to the grounds, displays and food gardens is FREE at all CS events. Those events that have major sponsors and those that are smaller in scope may be entirely free. Larger events, those providing more rides, activities and entertainment will charge admission to offset the cost of those costly activities. The goal of each CS committee is to provide the best festival possible for their community at an attendance cost below that of equivalent events.

IS CELEBRATE SACRIFICE A RELIGIOUS EVENT?

Celebrate Sacrifice honors our everyday heroes without excluding any group or individual who wishes to participate in the celebration. Churches, public organizations and local businesses all play important roles as sponsors and promoters of the event. Celebrate Sacrifice itself is an open community event - not controlled by any one organization. Each year a new local festival committee is formed to meet the needs of its community. Everyone is invited to participate in planning and preparing for the event.

Those wishing to express views contrary to the purpose of the event may request display space in a designated area for this purpose. The right of free speech, be it religious, political or other will not be deterred.

INTERESTED IN SPONSORING A CELEBRATE SACRIFICE?

What does it cost a sponsor? As little as ZERO DOLLARS! With EarthTraces as the primary equipment sponsor and local sponsors providing food, displays and entertainment, costs are typically recovered by gate admission and food sales. Any budget shortfall is covered by endowments to EarthTraces. ALL NET PROCEEDS go into the EarthTraces College Internship Fund to provide job experiences and tuition funds for those seeking a career in the clergy, law enforcement, fire fighting, EMT or related fields. Local events may use other equipment sponsors as well as covering costs through local contributions to reduce gate admission costs.

Sponsors help do the legwork including:

forming a committee to work with local police, fire, military and emergency medical services,
provide volunteers to help setup/takedown and staff the activities,
help with local event requirements and publicity, and
provide contemporary Christian and patriotic musicians from their congregation to be spotlighted on the festival stage.

From a business point-of-view, the value of communicating the message of support within and as part of the community makes sponsoring Celebrate Sacrifice one of the best values available!

From the church point-of-view Celebrate Sacrifice is a great opportunity to outreach within the community, demonstrating to churched and unchurched that you are a helpful, caring part of the community. The festival atmosphere and the fellowship within the event provides an opportunity to communicate that God and church can be fun and worth investigating!
